Pilates classes for busy women in Hampton, Hampton Hill & Sunbury

Want to feel stronger, more flexible, & less achy— and have fun while you do it? That’s where I come in.

My classes are designed for real women in their 40s, 50s, & beyond—who've got busy lives, stiff backs, & a tendency to put everyone else first.

You'll build strength, get more flexy, and lose aches & pains, without jumping up and down. Plus, you’ll move better, feel better, & (shock-horror) enjoy yourself!

Imagine yourself ...
  • Waking up one morning and realising you haven't had to use ibuprofen for weeks.
  • Feeling calmer and more rested.
  • Actually looking forward to an exercise class (a first!) because it's fun.
  • Meeting other super friendly women, just like you.
It's not just me! Here's what other people say about their Pilates classes with JA Pilates:
  • "It's a safe space & completely non-judgemental" - Helen D
  • "I've noticed fewer aches and pains generally" - Anna U
  • "Not had a day's back pain since joining, I'm more flexible and feel my core strength getting better." - Kate P
  • "Wondering whether to give Pilates with Jane a try? Go for it, and you may find that it’s one of the best nights in the week" - Julia

About Me

Hi! I'm Jane of JA Pilates, and I help busy women in Hampton, Hampton Hill, & Sunbury-on-Thames feel stronger in their bodies—without taking exercise too seriously.

I started doing Pilates 20 years ago ago, and it changed everything - fewer aches, better movement, and a real understanding of what my body needed to feel good.

So, after ten years practice, I decided to qualify to become a Pilates teacher myself, specialising in movement for women in mid-life and beyond.

Now, I teach in a way that brings those same benefits to you—with just the right balance of expert guidance & lighthearted fun.

My Pilates classes are welcoming, flexible, and designed for real women who know they should exercise but don’t always want to.

You’ll feel less stiff and achy and be able to go back to doing all the things you love doing.

And you'll get stronger, move more comfortably, and (grudgingly) admit you actually enjoy it.

But the best part? It’s not just the Pilates—it’s the people. The women who turn up, laugh by your side, and support each other along the way. If that sounds like your kind of place, I’d love to see you in one of our classes soon!

     Frequently Asked Questions

I know that starting a new class can be scary and you've probably got questions. So here are the answers to a few of the most frequently asked:

What should I wear?

Wear anything that's comfortable and that allows you to move freely. Doesn't have to be lycra leggings, jogging bottoms are fine too.

What equipment do I need?

You need a mat (something like this is good - affiliate link means I make a very small commission at no cost to you if you buy); and a cushion or block for your head.

I do have a couple of spare mats for loan, but my clients all find that they're more comfortable on their own mat.

I'm a complete beginner, is that OK?

Yes absolutely! Most of our classes are great for beginners and I can help you pick the best one for you.

But will I be the only person who can't do the exercises?

Every body is different and every day is different. That means that there are always lots of options to make sure that everyone can get something out of each exercise every time.

I've got a health problem or injury that means I can't do certain moves, is that OK?

Yes, absolutely! We'll find alternative exercises and ways to modify the movements to make them work for everyone.

What if everyone stares at me?

The only person watching you is your instructor (and we watch you like a hawk!). Everyone else in the class is too focused on their own exercises.

What happens at the end of the five week introductory "Goodbye Achy Back" block?

If you've enjoyed the classes and would like to continue, we'll share details of the membership with you which will allow you to continue getting stronger and more flexible while enjoying fewer aches and pains.
